Poetry Matters at USF!

In 2012 we launced a new project: Poetry Matters at USF. The Humanities Institute has asked members of the USF community for their favorite poems—classic, contemporary, famous, or obscure—to show the power of poetry in all our lives. Every day we posted a different person's favorite poem, with an explanation of why that poem matters to them. Faculty, staff, students, and friends are all represented – from scientists to artists. Ever wonder what President Genshaft's favorite poem is? How about Skip Holtz, Provost Wilcox, or Carol Morsani? This is your chance to find out.

Read HI Director Elizabeth Bird's Tampa Tribune op-ed about Poety Matters.

Missed a day? No problem! Here you can browse poems that have been posted throughout the month.
